It’s That Time Again
Spring cleaning your house from top to bottom can be overwhelming, and time-consuming! We suggest taking it room by room, or appliance by appliance. One of the biggest pain points in spring cleaning in the bathroom. How on earth are you supposed to make the shower grout and floors look clean? Fortunately, we have a few tips to help with that very thing!
Green Tips and Tricks
Yes, we all know. Grout is no fun. It looks great, but there comes a time when the white in the grout, doesn’t look very white! You can see all the blemishes, stains, and build up. However, for this year’s spring cleaning, not to fret! We have an all-natural solution that will make your least favorite chore of all bearable.
For this project, you will need baking soda, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and an old toothbrush!
Simply mix a 1:1 solution of vinegar and water, and spray the work area generously and let the solution sit for 5 minutes. Then, take your brush and scrub the work area.
Next, in a small bowl make a paste with water and baking soda. Using your toothbrush, work some paste into the grout. Next, spray the area with your vinegar and water solution; this will cause the baking soda to sizzle and bubble up. This reaction will start to work away the nasty soap scum! Next, using your toothbrush, brush the grout well to remove all the buildup. Finally, rinse with warm water.
If you have really tough visible stains, follow up with the hydrogen peroxide. It is a game-changer! Simply spray and use your toothbrush to brush the area. This works quite nicely!
